Lump & Bump Health Checks

Lump and Bump Health Check-Up

Our Lump and Bump Health Packages are designed to thoroughly investigate unexplained lumps, bumps, or swellings anywhere in the body. Each package combines advanced ultrasound imaging, medical consultation, and where appropriate, blood tests to give you a clear understanding of the cause.

Ultrasound Scan
A targeted ultrasound scan will assess the size, shape, and characteristics of the lump or swelling. This safe and non-invasive test helps identify whether the lump is a cyst, lipoma, enlarged lymph node, or another abnormality.

GP Consultation
You’ll have a one-to-one consultation with our experienced GP to review your symptoms, medical history, and any concerns. Your GP will explain the scan findings and, if necessary, recommend further investigations or referral to a specialist.

Blood Tests (if indicated)
In some cases, blood tests may be advised to check for infection, inflammation, or other underlying causes. These tests can provide valuable information alongside the imaging results. (Extra cost will be applied)

Benefits of a Lump and Bump Health Check

  • Comprehensive Assessment: Combines detailed imaging and medical review for a full evaluation.
  • Early Detection: Identifies common causes such as cysts, lipomas, or lymph node changes at an early stage.
  • Personalised Care: Tailored advice and next steps based on your results and symptoms.
  • Peace of Mind: Get clarity and reassurance with our expert-led packages designed to support your health and well-being.

Lumps and bumps can appear anywhere on the body and may develop for a variety of reasons. While many are harmless—such as cysts, lipomas (fatty lumps), or benign skin growths—others may require medical assessment to rule out infection, inflammation, or more serious conditions.

Common Causes of Lumps and Bumps

  • Cysts: Fluid-filled sacs that can develop under the skin.
  • Lipomas: Soft, fatty lumps that are usually harmless.
  • Enlarged lymph nodes: Often linked to infection or inflammation.
  • Fibromas or benign growths: Non-cancerous tissue overgrowths.
  • Abscesses: Collections of pus caused by infection.
  • Other abnormalities: In some cases, lumps may signal underlying medical concerns that need further investigation.

Possible Symptoms
Depending on the cause, you may notice:

  • Swelling or tenderness in the affected area
  • Pain or discomfort when pressing on the lump
  • Redness, warmth, or signs of infection
  • A lump that changes in size, shape, or texture over time
  • Multiple lumps in different parts of the body

When to Seek Medical Advice
Not all lumps are dangerous, but it’s important to have them checked if they:

  • Appear suddenly or grow quickly
  • Feel hard or immovable
  • Are painful, red, or warm to the touch
  • Come with other symptoms such as fever, weight loss, or night sweats
  • Do not go away after a few weeks

Early medical assessment provides clarity, reassurance, and—when needed—timely treatment. Identifying the nature of a lump is the first step in ensuring your health and peace of mind.
