Package Includes:
1. Thyroid Ultrasound: A dedicated ultrasound of the thyroid gland will be performed to assess its size, shape, and structure. This non-invasive imaging procedure helps identify any nodules, cysts, or other abnormalities in the thyroid gland.
2. GP Consultation: You’ll have a dedicated consultation with our general practitioner, providing an opportunity to discuss your thyroid health concerns, symptoms, and medical history. Your GP will conduct a thorough assessment and review of your symptoms, as well as the results of your thyroid ultrasound and blood tests, to develop a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.
3. Blood Test:
* Free Thyroxine (FT4): Measurement of the free form of thyroxine (T4) hormone in the blood. FT4 levels help assess thyroid function and determine if the thyroid gland is producing an adequate amount of thyroid hormone.
* Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH): Measurement of TSH levels, which are produced by the pituitary gland to regulate thyroid hormone production. Abnormal TSH levels can indicate thyroid dysfunction, such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
* Free T3, Free T4, Thyroglobulin Abs, Thyroid Peroxidase: Free T3 and Free T4 measure active thyroid hormones, indicating thyroid function. Thyroglobulin and Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies (Abs) detect autoimmune thyroid disorders like Hashimoto’s or Graves’ disease.
