Breast Health Check-Up
Breast health packages are designed to provide a thorough assessment of breast tissue and detect potential issues at an early stage. Each package combines advanced imaging, medical consultation, and blood tests give you clear insights into your breast health.
Breast Ultrasound
A dedicated ultrasound scan of the breasts checks for cysts, lumps, fibroadenomas, infections, or other structural changes. This safe and non-invasive test is particularly useful for younger women, those with dense breast tissue, or anyone experiencing symptoms such as pain, swelling, or discharge.
GP Consultation
You’ll have a one-to-one consultation with our experienced GP to discuss your symptoms, medical history, and any concerns. Your GP will review your scan results, then provide a tailored care plan which may include reassurance, monitoring, or referral to a breast specialist.
Blood Tests
Blood tests will be recommended to assess hormone levels, infection markers, or general health indicators. These can support ultrasound findings and provide additional information when investigating breast-related symptoms.

Understanding the Breasts and Their Role in Health
The breasts are made up of glandular tissue, ducts, fat, and connective tissue. They play a vital role in reproductive and hormonal health, particularly in women, but can also be affected by conditions in men. Breast health is important at all ages, as changes can indicate hormonal fluctuations, benign conditions, or more serious diseases such as breast cancer. Early awareness and screening are key to maintaining long-term wellbeing.
Common Breast Health Concerns
Fibrocystic changes: Benign (non-cancerous) lumps or thickened areas often linked to hormonal cycles.
Breast cysts: Fluid-filled sacs that can feel like lumps and sometimes cause discomfort.
Fibroadenomas: Common, non-cancerous solid lumps that typically occur in younger women.
Mastitis: Infection or inflammation of breast tissue, often linked to breastfeeding.
Breast cancer: Malignant growth that can develop in ducts, lobules, or other tissues of the breast.
Gynecomastia (in men): Enlargement of male breast tissue, usually due to hormonal imbalance.
Symptoms to Look Out For
âś… A lump or thickened area in the breast or underarm
âś… Changes in breast size, shape, or symmetry
âś… Pain, tenderness, or discomfort in one or both breasts
âś… Nipple discharge (especially blood-stained) or inversion
âś… Skin changes such as dimpling, redness, or puckering
âś… Unexplained swelling or warmth in the breast
Why Early Assessment Matters
Breast symptoms can range from minor hormonal changes to signs of serious disease. Because early detection significantly improves outcomes, accurate diagnosis is vital. Ultrasound scans, sometimes combined with mammograms, blood tests, or GP consultations, can:
Detect benign or malignant lumps and structural changes
Guide further investigations such as biopsy or specialist referral
Provide reassurance and clarity when symptoms are present
Support long-term breast and hormonal health

I got into the practice an hr early but was surprised that they could fit me in for my Ultra Sound. The staff were very friendly and I felt at ease due to being nervous about the whole situation. The Ultra Sound took about 15 mins it was thoroughly and surprisingly quick. After a year waiting for this i was pleased that i had booked with the hospital a good experience and i thank you all. I highly recommend the practice to anyone who is needing an Ultra Sound and surprisingly it was not that expensive.Posted on Jonny LethbridgeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
